I actually am not adverse to buying a true spectrum type analyzer if it could provide home network WiFi channel information and not just signal strength by frequency. This would help me prioritize channels and bands for my devices ( multiple 4K Smart TVs, 5 computers, 3 tablets, 2 cell phones, and a bunch of 2.4 only or dual band smart home devices) Ideally I could walk the building and acreage with a cell phone and note frequency and Db in a survey to see what IS and what channels to avoid as well as being a good neighbor to those surrounding me ( many of my new devices can adjust the radio signal strength) Desired information is the current hash of all 50 of my devices and the distant neighbors RF my network can see as locked or hidden.
DXO PHOTOLAB 2 ELITE PROMO CODE FREE
I have used a few of the free Apps like WiFi Analyzer and KAIBITS they do OK but I wand something free or cheap that is closer to a true 5Ghz and 2 Ghz spectrum analyzer/detector.

I am getting a new ISP soon and have bought a lot of newer 3 band routers, extenders, and out door AP.

It also does HDR stuff, heif input, and lots of other stuff, but I don't use it as much as one could since most of what I do is in PL4.īoth PL4 and AP have lots of tutorials that can help you learn to use the system.I have a complicated working network on 2.5 rural acres managing internet access to main house and 2 100foot+ away all metal buildings/shops. It also does pano stitching, although I've not used it since I got used to using PTGui and haven't bothered to learn to use AP for that. In addition to it being more of a photoshop replacement, it is the only program I know that can handle super-mega size files, like a 1.2 GPixel pano that I'd make - where I can just travel through it with zooming at fast speed (and not crash) as well as make lots of intricate touch-ups that might not be available in PL4. I also use Affinity Photo, and strongly suggest you do get both (they're both very affordable!). I recently posted 10 photos of my cat, using only PL4: you can see what it did for me with fairly little effort at: Get the Elite version as it has additions for perspective corrections where you can adjust image stretching etc really well, in addition to other stuff. It can also do misc stuff like bandaid touchup, mask drawing and effects, slider left-right (or both side by side or toggle between them) to see original vs modified etc, and a lot of stuff I've not learned. The image-wide editing of lots of things (brightness, contrast, saturation, noise reduction) is super easy and really effective in doing what you want with great results (for Canon raw or other stuff like M43 more grainy files as I've done both) and the noise reduction is really spectacular. I like to store the images in a nested file structure of my own making, and PL4 lets me do that.

I've been thinking to get either DXO or Affinity.Ĭan you please go into a little more detail what you use each one for? And for someone who does not have any tool other than the ones free from Canon (I have an M50 for now), would it make sense to get both or does each one do pretty much the same thing as the other.Īlso, I'd like for there to be a way to use a slide, so that you can see the original photo and the modified photo at the same time, where the slide will reveal more of one version and the remaining view of the other as the user adjust the slide (not sure what that feature is called).Īnd also a feature where both versions can be seen, in full, at the same time.Īnd if not asking too much :), a way to toggle back and forth between the modified version and the original (this would allow me to see the image larger, and therefore in more detail, than when viewing both versions simultaneously).Īnd if not asking too much :), a way to toggle back and forth between the modified version and the original (this would allow me to see the image larger, and therefore in more detail, than when viewing both versions simultaneously).I shoot raw, and use DXO PL4 to rate the images, delete what I don't want, copy what I like so I can work on virtual copies of them. I'm really happy I got into it, and enjoy using it as my main ranking & easy overall editing tool, with Affinity Photo for anything else I might want to do. Well, for those of you with a R camera on the fence regarding getting DXO photolab or something else, I would strongly suggest you just go ahead and get the elite version at their sale price.
